The Board of Directors of the International Geography Olympiad (aka iGEO) have officially endorsed the United States Geography Challenge to be the qualifying competition for students from the USA to attend the International Geography Olympiad through 2015! The USGC would like to thank iGEO for this opportunity, and we look forward to representing the USA at the 2013 International Geography Olympiad in Kyoto, Japan this coming summer. Having thus received official recognition as the qualifying competition, we will also begin a search for sponsors to help defray, and ideally cover in full, the costs of travel to Japan for Team USA. Good luck to all students who will be competing to become part of the first ever team to represent the USA at iGEO!
