The second year of The United States Geography OIympiad is underway! On Sunday, October 13 at Westview High School in San Diego, we started our new year of competitions around the country. 5 Varsity and 3 JV students took the C set version of the National Qualifying Exam. The top score by far in the Varsity was Kevin Li of Westview who scored a highly impressive 95. And in the JV, a very noteworthy 84 was notched by 11 year-old Wesley Zhang of CVMS. Congratulations to Kevin and Wesley, as well as our other Nationals qualifiers! The next stop for USGO is St. Petersburg, FL at Shorecrest Prep on Saturday, October 19. Good luck to everyone competing there and throughout the country this year!
