The National Council for Geography Education has given its official endorsement to the United States Geography Challenge as a competition designed to promote a greater knowledge and understanding of geography among American students, and to be the official qualifying competition for eligible American high school students to attend the 2013 International Geography Olympiad in Kyoto, Japan. We at USGC thank the National Council for Geography Education for their support, and look forward to working together in support of geography education for many years to come.
Meanwhile, our regional qualifying exams continue to move along, with over 100 students across the USA having participated. Results through the sites on November 17 will be posted by December 1.
