Congratulations to James Cole of Cave Spring High School and Ideen Ashrat of Blacksburg High School – the top scorers in the Varsity and Junior Varsity Divisions respectively at the Southwest Virginia Regional Qualifying Exam site! The 8 students who took the RQE on October 20 at Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, VA made history as the first ever students to compete in the United States Geography Challenge. Thousands more will follow this year in the lead up to our National Championships on April 26, 2013. Thanks to Mr. Matt Beeken and Blacksburg High School for hosting the competition! The next Exam sites will be Northeast Ohio and Eastern Georgia on October 27 – both on the B Set Version of the Exam.
