The United States Geography Olympiad is instituting new late payment policies for its competition sites for the 2013-14 season. These can be found on the Regional and State tournament registration page or by clicking here. The gist of things is that all payments for the National Qualifying Exam at sites must be brought to the tournaments this year, and paid in cash or check. If payment is not made by the end of the day, late fees automatically kick in, which increase after an additional week of non-payment. No one, however, will be turned away at a tournament for lack of payment, but anyone who plays without payment is thus accepting this policy. For USGO Nationals, by contrast, payments must be made in advance by April 14. Late fees will then apply after a short grace period. For further questions, please contact info@geographyolympiad.com.
